Water, Fish, and Community – Sustaining Life through Service by department of Fisheries.

The Department of Fisheries at Government Degree College Kokernag organized an insightful lecture titled “Water, Fish, and Community: Sustaining Life through Service” on 26th September 2025. . It emphasized the importance of preserving water bodies and promoting sustainable fishery practices to ensure environmental balance and socio-economic development.



Dr. Mohammed Akram focused on the role of community participation in conservation efforts and discussed strategies to
promote sustainable livelihoods through fisheries.
