Department Profile

The most significant instrument for social, economic and political transformation is education. A well-educated population equipped with a relevant knowledge, attitude and skills is instrumental for building a creative society. It provides skills and competencies for economic well-being and strengthens democracy by providing citizens tools needed to participate actively in the process of governance. It also acts as an integrative force in society imparting values that foster social solidarity and national identity.

The College has introduced the subject of Education since the year of its establishment. During this short period of time, the Department has taken many initiatives to realize the goals of education in general and higher education in particular. The department, at present, offers Education as Major and Minor subject in all the semesters. Besides, the department offers Skill Enhancement Courses in 1^st and 2^nd and 3^rd semesters. Presently, the department has three well qualified faculty members with a lot of experience and research work to their credit.
